Instructions for use

Prevention and treatment in adults and children: influenza A and B, acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI), severe acute respiratory syndrome (including cases complicated by bronchitis or pneumonia); secondary immunodeficiency conditions; comprehensive therapy for chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, and recurrent herpes infection. Prevention of postoperative infectious complications and restoration of immune function. Comprehensive treatment of acute enteric infections of rotavirus etiology in children above 3 years of age.

Method of administration and dosage

Take orally before meals. Single doses based on age: children aged 3 to 6: 50 mg; children aged 6 to 12 years: 100 mg (1 capsule of 100 mg or 2 capsules of 50 mg); children over 12 years and adults: 200 mg (2 capsules of 100 mg or 4 capsules of 50 mg).

Special instructions and precautions for use

The drug does not exhibit central neurotropic activity and may be used in medical practice for preventive purposes in otherwise healthy individuals in various professions, including those requiring heightened attention and motor coordination (drivers, operators, etc.).

Contraindications

Children under 3 years of age; hypersensitivity to umifenovir.
